07/16/2016 Let Your voice be heard community forum

Our 1st Community Forum took place on July 16th, 2016. We touched bases on the importance of the black dollar and boycotts, committees we could form, police brutality and shootings, neighborhood patrols and more. Our 2nd Community Forum took place on August 27th, 2016. We touched bases on setting up community outreach committees to implement ideas to give back, community watches and registering for city council meetings and political party meetings, working with elected officials to have new laws and ordinances passed, cultivating new cultural awareness programs and more. Our 3rd Community Forum took place on September 24th, 2016. We touched bases on the current community outreach events we have launched, the neighborhood watch program, our upcoming calendar of events, great partners and organizations to work with, and working on a permanent schedule of events among many other great topics. Our 4th Community Forum took place on October 23rd, 2016. We launched the LYVBH Newsletter, highlighted more Black-owned businesses, upcoming community events and workshops, our outreach committee and important city and county council meetings to appear at and many more important topics. Our 5th Community Forum and last meeting of 2016 took place on December 29th, 2016 (the November forum was postponed due to traveling conflicts). We touched bases on our events we were facilitating such as the youth after school outreach, community outreach and peace walks, our fundraisers, the upcoming grant and concealed weapon workshops, new committees we launched and many more great topics. 01/31/2017 let your voice be heard community forum

Our 6th Community Forum and first meeting of 2017 took place on January 31st, 2017. We touched bases on the important upcoming outreach events, our community funding/group economics proposal and fundraisers, our community policing initiative, important city and county council meetings, our upcoming workshops and many more great events for everyone to be involved with. 02/28/2017 LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD COMMUNITY FORUM

Our 7th Community Forum took place on February 28th, 2017 at Global Dynasty Corps. We touched bases on our upcoming community events, solidified dates for our recurring events, went over new initiatives we're launching and were able to finalize some of the events we've been planning. 03/26/2017  LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD COMMUNITY FORUM

Our  8th Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum took place on March 26th, 2017 and we touched bases on various issues such as social justice, crime prevention, youth outreach and mentoring, community outreach, social services, workshops, charitable events and more! We also come together and make sure that every voice is heard and every input is valued.

Our 9th Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum took place on May 21st, 2017 and focused on on our upcoming workshops, end of the school year youth outreach, innovative ideas that can be implemented, and our new mission statements as an organization. 06/28/2017 let your voice be heard community forum

Our last Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum (10th meeting) took place 06/28/2017 at Three Masks, Inc (1023 W Colonial Dr.). It centered around many topics including the youth crime rate, lack of innovative programs, city and county council updates, movements already in place in Central Florida and highlighted the Central Florida Community Care Fair that took place July 8th, 2017 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. That recap has been sent out along with all the updates, videos and photos from that event. We once again would like to thank our sponsors and partners for helping make it possible.

07/27/2017 LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD COMMUNITY FORUM

Our last Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum (11th meeting) took place August 31st, 2017 at 7:00pm at Three Masks Inc. (1023 W. Colonial Dr.) and centered around the 2nd Annual Stop the Violence Walk through Pine Hills, new victim advocacy programs such as Crime Survivors, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and the 2nd chance amendment, upcoming youth programs and back to school drives, workshops, community walks and more, City and County Council Meetings. We also had the open floor where many people took the floor and presented on issues that they saw in the neighborhood and Orlando Sentinel also covered us in a news article (pictured to left.) For all Let Your Voice Be Heard upcoming events we will break them down in the section following the recap.

08/31/2017 LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD COMMUNITY FORUM 

Join us on August 31st, 2017 at 7:00pm at Three Masks Inc. (1023 W. Colonial Dr.) for our 12th Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum and come let your voice be heard! Since last year we have been meeting monthly to speak on issues we see plaguing Central Florida and implementing real solutions to combat them. Every voice is valued and no one is silenced in our meetings. We have formed youth outreach, youth mentoring, community peace walks, community workshops and more from our past forums and have been the change we want to see.
