LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD COMMUNITY FORUM (RECAP OF 08/27/2016)
First of all, big thank you to everyone who was able to attend our last “Let Your Voice Be Heard Community Forum” that took place at the "Food For Thought Event Venue" located at the West Oaks Mall. We came together once again, and found a way to make a reality out of our vision. Thank you to the keynote speakers and the presentations that were given, they were excellent. This is a recap of what took place at the meeting, and also what is in store for the future. Please note that this email is detailed, and long. Attached to this email you will find the word document version of this e-mail, two power-points (one is from the overview of the forum and another is a presentation on black culture), the upcoming calendar of political events that we can attend, information on neighborhood patrol, and the handout sheet that was given at the forum. We are definitely trying to actively build up our audience so that it can be converted into a strong community outreach team. Our next meeting has a tentative date of September 24th, 2016.
